Cheyenne, Wyoming

My first  visit to Cheyenne,WY was in February 2008 on my way from Denver,CO to Sheridan, WY. I just stayed for a few hours and  on my return trip for one night, making an excursion to follow the BNSF track north towards Chugwater,WY on 211/Horse Creek  and Iron Mountain Road.

Also serving as the State Capital.

Cheyenne is host of the world largest outdoor rodeo the " Daddy  'of 'em all "

Cheyenne is a great place to start your railfanning, visiting places of historical interest like Fort Laramie, the Oregon Trail Ruts in Guernsey,WY,Register Cliff were the first settlers inscribed their names into the sandstone cliff.

Natural beauty like Vedauwoo rock formation at the Medicin Bow National Forest.

And another of my favorites, Curt Goudy State Park just a little drive west of Cheyenne.
